    Hi

I just got an Optoma HD67N and its my first projector.

I was wondering is there a way to dampen the sound of the fan?
Is there materical I can put around the projector or would that not be advisable?

Do you just get used to the fan noise?

    Thanks
    P

    Basically, yes!

Assuming it's not really loud, just immerse yourself in the programme.

(The desktop alongside me has several fans running, but I didn't notice them until I read your question.)

Enclosing a projector, or virtually any piece of AV equipment, is not advised.

    1. Switch the projector to ECO mode.
    2. Increase the volume of your sound system.
    3. Search the internet for "projector hush box".
