Hello guys,
I own a pair of KEF Q55 speakers. One of the speakers recently appeared to have a problem. The problem is on the dust cap of the speaker. I contacted KEF UK and the KEF local distributor and they suggested me to re-glue the dust cap with impact adhesive.

A photo of the speaker can be seen here:

Is the "re-glue" solution the right one?

Try the glue, if it doesnt have satifactory results, you might have to purchase a new driver of kef, which will cost alot of money.

Is the dust cap damaged ?

No damage except the part that has "detached" (not sure if that's the right word).

just curious how you managed to remove it, they are normal stuck on with strong glue....

Personally, re-attach the speaker grille, forget about it.

That particular dustcap design isn't a cone stiffener being soft, it's only of cosmetic significance.

I didn't remove it. One day i just saw it removed.
