Can anyone help? I just bought a Daewoo DP42SP 42" plasma screen and I get an annoying high frequency sound from the back of all the time (Like the noise a fridge makes but quieter). Whenever the screen displays pictures that are light in colour the sound gets more audible but then when the screen is black the sound virtually disappears. Is this something I have to put up with, is there a quick fix or do you think that this could be a warranty call out? All help much appreciated.. Thanks Nick.
Probably has a fan that helps with cooling. Not sure if this helps as I dont know the model in question. Perhaps a/your retailer has a better idea.
Had a look and theres no fan that I can see, I am off to the retailer today to see what they say. Thx
hmmm NOT IMPRESSED... just been to the store and they now tell me that this is something that ALL Daewoo panels do, they even powered up two others in the shop and they were the same... Aparently when they are wall mounted the sound isnt as noticeable as the wall absorbs it apart from that the screen quality is top drawer and on the whole it is actually quite a nice piece f kit for the money. Thanks for your help! Nick
If it is a recent purchase, you maybe able to get a refund and look for other kit that doesn't buzzzzzzzzzzzzz. If bought from dixons i think you have 14 day money back.
the daewoo u have we used to sell in the supermarket i run, our display model had no buzzing or humming from the screen what so ever jason
