Daewoo DH-6100P HDD/DVD Recorder - timer problem

When setting the timer to record a TV programme, it sometimes fails to record. Then when I go to settings, I find it has reset its internal date to a completely new date.

Also when it does record, it sometimes shows a different date on the menu from that on which the actual recording was made.

Any ideas?

We had a recent case of this sort of problem in another make of machine, that was due to problems with time elements of analogue transmissions causing problems.

The answer was to leave the analogue tuning blank. You could try that in this case.

[This is based on the assumption that this unit is a type which has a digital and analogue tuner. ]
