Dabs direct - never ever again, can anyone provide me with a number please? * read :)

    On the 14th June I placed an order with dabs for the samsung le32r41b. Being listed as in stock at the time and immediately dispatchable.

    Next day it was listed as out of stock, then three days later empire direct recieved stock in for £70 cheaper, I immediately cancelled my order via the dabs user control panel, and extended the credit limit on a credit card and immediately ordered the samsung from empire.

    The problem is I HAVE STILL not recieved my damn money back from dabs.

    I have sent 6 e-mails to dabs, all of which I have recieved semi-automatic replies - 3 of which have said "it will take us around 48hours to liase with another department" - never recieved a reply.

    Unfortunately I ordered this with my standard switch card, if I had have ordered via my credit card it would have been a easy solution.

    I'm getting worried now as I need this money back urgently :(.

    The question is - Does anyone have anyway for me to get in touch with dabs via telephone. I mean surely there must be some numbers around for management.
    I think trading standards is the next step.

    The best thing to do is to ring your credit card company and see what they think. They may be able to issue a chargeback!

    If this doesnt provide any results, find out who the MD of the company is (can be found through companies house (I think)) and write him/her a letter saying hiow unhappy you are. Send it recorded delivery so you can track it and tell when it has been recieved and who signed for it.

    I had to do this with Ebuyer and it worked, in only a few hours after they had recieved the letter, the money was put straight back onto my credit card!

    Serial... have you spoken to Switch anyway? failing that Trading Standards perhaps....or even your own legal guys (assuming you maybe have legal support through your home insurance?)

    Even with the credit though...although you would have had more protection there is a stack load of forms to fill out usually...and then they have to investigate your claims etc.... still takes weeks to resolve..... I have had a few problems in the past and also had my card cloned twice :mad:
