Hi all

I wondered if anyone could recommend a great sounding DAB radio or alternative?
I have a Pure One Mini which I've owned for over 10 years. At the time it was expensive but the battery life was fab and it's never skipped a beat.
It still works like new but the sound is poor. Outputting via the headphone jack does not offer any improvement (excuse my lack of audio knowledge here).

I do like that it's not dependent on wifi and that it simply provides ONE function. It has also receieved radio sports commentary when my smart speaker would not (due to licensing?)

I'm not totally averse to streaming radio if the quality is going to be that much better. I own a Google Home and Sonos One SL (but recent internet problems have made me fall back on my Pure One).

Can anyone advise or recommend a solution?

Many thanks

DAB is a dead duck as far as sound quality is concerned with low bit rates & even some music mono! Internet is definitely the way to go aside from the sports issue you referenced.

I'll check the Ruark, Roberts, and Tivoli range. The last one has updated its radio range and some of their models support Airplay 2.
