DAB antennas should be vertically polarised, hence the elements in the picture running vertical.

The chap appears to have given you the right info. :smashin:

I recently purchased a 6 element DAB antenna from Maplins. It cost approx. £25.

It gives me 8 - 9 bars on the signal strength indicator.

£40 does seem slightly expensive but then again antiference have a reputation for quality products.

Location seems to make a hell of a difference to the quality of DAB reception. I got nothing at all out of the little tail that came with the processor. Steve Jones, who live about a mile from here is using it on his and having no problem at all.

I originally went for a dipole because I didn't want to be restricted by directionality. I still get the occassional sinking submarine sound, so I guess I should have opted or a Yagi instead, which is what the installer had in mind until I told him otherwise (Ow! there's another hole in my foot!!).

It looks as if you have it already well under control but PM me if you want the original TAG PDF on the subject.

The antiference DAb aerial is about the only one that does the job properly according to all our tests..... but like Edward says, location can make all the difference.... Oh and £40????? Its £25 in CPC......
