D8000 banding at side of screen

OK wonder if anyone can help or advise please, I've just bought a Samsung D8000 TV and have noticed slight vertical bands at the sides of the screen, it just appears slightly (and it is slightly) brighter at the sides. This band is about a thumbnail width all the way down and is only noticeable at certain brightnesses.
My question is this, is this normal? If not is there something wrong with my T.V or is there some setting (as there seems to be A LOT of those) that can iron this out?

Would be very grateful for some advice please.
