D3 and D700 firmware updates released 20/01/09

Just reading through the D3 and D700 changes:
- An issue that, in extremely rare cases, resulted in noticeable black dots in images captured with Long exp. NR in the shooting menu set to On has been resolved.
Are D3 & D700 made by Canon?
It is very good to see firmware updates being provided to provide fixes for minor issues that most people never seem to see! re: black dots - I think it was also pretty good of Canon to fix that issue on the 5D2 so quickly.
