    Hi,

Do any of you guys know if it is possible to combine a Cyrus 8 amp with a Cyrus Smart Power to create a pre/power combo (with the Cyrus 8 integrated amp acting as the pre amp)?

    Cheers.

Yes, the Cyrus 8 can be used as a pre-amp when fitted to a Smartpower.

    Hi,

I would use the 8 amp and use the smartpower to biamp, so use the 8 to feed the tweeters and the smartpower to feed the bass or vice/versa depending on how you think it sounds in your system.

Here is a link from cyrus

Definitely biamp if you've got the option.

If this isn't an option just plug the speakers into the smartpower and link the 8 and the power with the pre out connectors with a phono interconnect.

Bi-amp if you can, it'll probably sound a lot better.

I have a Cyrus 8 and SmartPower and have them bi-amped. The SmartPower feeds the mid-range and treble drivers and the Cyrus 8 feeds the bass. It works very well.

PS this is my first post here, so hello!
