Cyberlink PowerDVD - Hardware decoding?

I'm using powerdvd for my MCE decoding for its WS stretching function, but the quality doesnt seem as good as purevideo. Now I'm confused as there's an option in powerdvd to enable hardware decoding (purevideo actually!) but it doesnt seem to do anything. Is there no way to make MCE use the hardware decoder ?

Cheers

PowerDVD?

What version, 6 or 7 and the full version or the basic?

Yeah, like I said further in the post, powerdvd.

This is just the basic trial you can download. Wouldn't have thought it woud differ that much as far as video decoding though surely? Gone back to nv purevideo again and the difference is marked.

I've got PowerDVD 7 and next to the option that says Hardware Acceleration its says "PureVideo". Is this what you have?
