R1 version of Final Fantasy - Spirits within presents Region Code Warnig that the DVD will not operate on modified DVD players. The cyber home N212 is programmed as a multi region machine. Other R1 discs have worked so far. Does any one have a suggested way forward?

    Hiya

Not familiar with your machine, but i think the only way u can get past the rce protection is if your machine can be set to r1 playback only not r0.

It did that on my mate's machine. I borrowed it and it proceeded to work perfectly on my own modified DVD player.

Wasn't impressed by the film anyway.

As Ten says, RCE is most effective on players that play different regions by being region free, as opposed to being genuinely multi-region.
