Yes, I'm sure we'd all love to know, but so would HMC&E! If anyone knows of one, best keep it quiet, although I have PM's enabled too. I know one for CDs, if you like Heavy Metal, and they also do music DVDs. ;)

i tried to send a PM and it didnt appear in the drop down list so thats why i asked also wonder if it was a sting, but too sensible for a government department! at least a record that the user known as Ian Edwards is not HMC&E now exists.

I can't really see why this needs to be kept so secret... There is no such thing as a "customs friendly" retailer - if a retailer posts a DVD from outside the EU then it is pot luck as to whether it gets picked up by customs. The only certain way to avoid customs is to use a retailer which posts from within the EU, in which case there is surely no need to keep it secret...

OK, well what about this lot? Someone else mentioned them, and I've been waiting to see if anyone's ordered from them.

aren't they classed as customs friendly if they write £17.99 on the envelope even if you paid £50 for the DVD? That's probably the reason for secrecy.. am i right?

I had a great idea to avoid customs, wonder if it'd work.. DVD sellers have an offer where you can buy a voucher to get a DVD boxset for $40 less than its value, but the voucher costs $40. Surely nothing illegal in that?

I asked Axel Music about customs charges, and this was the reply:

    Hi Simon,

Thanks for your email. You should not encounter any additional charges as 1) we ship from Germany and 2) therefore we do not mark the packages with value-indication when they're shipping to another EC country.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions.

   )
    Rasmus,

Got the R4 Band Of Brothers coming from them for £21.99, with free shipping. Prices generally seem similar to Play / Loaded, etc.

Which kind of works against them in this case right?

Anyhoo, whoever is brave enough to order from them let us know how it goes. I still think customs will grab the goods though.
