Looks like this will be getting fixed in the next update :

Customers that have cable, satellite, or TV set top boxes which output 50Hz can now configure Live TV for optimal performance. In order to configure this setting, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings

    2. Select TV & OneGuide

    3. Select Troubleshooting

    4. Select Video

    5. Select Enable 50Hz to enable this setting.

Cool, I take it this option will only apply 50hz to the tv input?

I reckon this will be just for the TV input in full screen. I reckon when in snap mode it will be in 60Hz but as TV screen is small it wont be noticeable much IMO

Yeah that makes sense as long as the full screen tv is in 50hz I will be more than happy to use the hdmi pass through!

Me to. All we need now is to have the ability to use pass through when console is off as well/ I have plenty of people saying that to me as well. When the forums are unlocked and ready to post feedback thats what im going to post

That's no guarantee, apparently. We just wait and see. Can you get in the preview forums (I linked further up the thread)?

Just keep checking the app on your XB1, that's the best way to see if your in or not.

When watching TV at 50Hz, does it switch back to 60Hz for notifications? (and do a HDMI handshake in the process?)

    I am 99% certain it stays 50hz.

Basically if TV is full screen or you are on the dashboard with TV in the background, then it stays 50hz.

You can snap most apps to the side and remain in 50hz too.

So I don't see why notifications would be any different.

Only time it comes out of 50hz to 60hz is when you open another game / app full screen.
