guys, I have a head scratcher here and i hope someone can tell me whats wrong. I have made up a

custom scart to s-video cable. The problem I have is that If I connect the scart to my TV and the

s-video to my DVD player it displays fine in all its full colour glory. The problem I have is

that if I plug up the svideo to the TV and the scart to the DVD it doesnt show properly at all,

its all wavey lines and the picture doesnt show at all. - I actually need it to work that way and

I'm stuck to find an answer why it works the way of TV (scart) and DVD (svid) but it wont work if

the cables are plugged up TV (svid) and DVD (scart)

Can someone help me please ?

Its because the pins for the output and input of S-vid on a scart are different. You cant make an omni directional cable unless you have two S-vid cables connected to the same scart cable

swap pin 19 and pin 20 in the SCART connector
and it will work SCART/dvd to s-video/tv
