I have a budget of about £500 and have put together the following components...

Sony AD-5240S 24x DVD±RW DL Internal SATA Black Bare Drive - OEM = £16.24
Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU = £27.92
Be Quiet Straight Power 650W PSU - 8x SATA 2x PCI-E 4x 12V Rails = £64.99 £56.51
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Kit CL5 1.8v = £55.99
AMD Phenom II X4 940 3GHz Socket AM2+ 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor = £132.30
Microsoft Silver Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 - USB = £29.99
Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 770 Socket AM2+ 7.1 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard = £55.11
XFX HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card = £92.75
Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM = £56.88

Total = £532.17 (inc. delivery)

Is this a good build for around the budget?
Please take into consideration that I will need the following...
Able to play on a HDTV (via a HDMI cable - can be a converter cable)
I will need a wireless keyboard/mouse
I will be buying the Windows 7 OS
Minimum of 4GB RAM
Hard Drive size isn't that important

The budget will hopefully include all these but I do have slight lee-way if anything spectacular can be built!

(Also is everything I have there compatible?)

A good starting place would be:

motherboard bundle, Motherboard CPU Bundle, Motherboards, CPUs items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

This will give you a good starting point. Let me know if you chose one and we'll go from there.
I have had a check through those bundles and none of them are as cheap/value for money (as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge  )

The closest I could see was this one ... AMD AM3 945 X4 QUAD CORE CPU & AM3 MOTHERBOARD BUNDLE on eBay (end time 10-Oct-09 13:37:45 BST) but it would require DDR3 which I can find for £51 MAJOR 4GB 2X 2GB DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 1600MHZ 4 GB Go G on eBay (end time 10-Oct-09 01:33:19 BST)
So overall that one would cost (for the motherboard, CPU and RAM) £265.99

Would that be worth it over what I originally proposed for £247.40 considering I don't want to go too far over budget.

(Also is the RAM proposed compatible with the motherboard and CPU)
