anyone in the east mids should note that these two stores on the Wyvern retail park are next door to one another and as a result there are some deals to be had particularly it appears in curry's

I was there this eve and the assistant in currys pretty much said they were in a position were they HAD to beat the ED prices

anyway just as an example the Panny TH37PX70 CAB is currently 999 on the currys website and it is reported as being 1099 instore. Current price at ED is 899.99 whereas Curry's Derby is 894.99 (42" is +100 also CAB version)

there are also some good plasma combo deals with stands and surround sound setups and DVD recorders. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area.

not sure how far you could go trying to play one against the other?...

of course ED also give you a 3 year warranty on plasma if you join EDextra or whatever its called for £20 - wouldn;t be interesting to see if Currys would match that seeing as my understanding is warranties is where a large chunk of money is made.....
