    Hi,

Looking to buy the 4-disc set of Dawn of the Dead from CD-Wow. When I clicked "Add to basket" there was a pop-up window regarding the discs being R1 but nothing about Customs charges.

So, does anyone know if CD-Wow's over-£18 packages are subject to Customs any more? Or have they found a new, legal, delivery route to avoid them?

    Many thanks,

    Matthew

I got the Stingray box set from them last week, cost 28UKP and it came via the Isle of Man hence no customs.

I emailed them before and asked and was told that I should not get charged customs... I bit reasuring but I would rather had a "will not"...

It may depend on were they have stock of the item, who knows, still their prices are so good I thought it worth the risk.

Hi - you're right, CD-Wow have now got in place shipping methods similar to Yes-Asia's arrangement, where-by you should no longer get 'hit' for customs charges on items over £18.00.

Really? That is good news. Time to place that order, then.

    Thank you,

I did preorder Dawn from DVDSoon when they had it for under 18 quid, but if it's any consolation that order took my credit card two quid through its max :( so I was fined twenty quid and charged, in effect, £37-80 for it... Soddit.
