    Hi

Getting a new house built and want all the cables hidden for sky. Going to get them to lay some CT100 cable for the sky and to distribute this around the house. Can CT100 cable be used for a standard TV arial cabling as well??

Also are there any other wires anyone would recommend to get put in now? I was thinking maybe some Cat5 from the PC to the living room.

    Thanks

Yes you can use CT100 for terrestrial cabling also - in fact it will be better than using the usual stuff. Put CAT6 cable in - one near every power point if you can. Cat6 can handle giga eithernet so would possibly be used for uncompressed digital video in the future. Put in speaker cable just in case also.

Hope it's not too late but...
why don't you install ducts ie small diameter tubes say 25-40 mm diameter vertically from each room to the roof. that way you can wire any combination to any room you like.

It would be really nice if builders could accomodate this in new builds so anyone could wire their house how they wish.
