    Gordon,
Any chance of putting down that DVHS player for a few minutes and updating us on the good, the bad and the ugly of the CS-1!? :)

Also, your mod for the scart into the CS-1 any chance of posting that? Looks interesting.
    Regards,
    Paul

    Paul,

I've been busy doing all sorts of things day adn night last few days. Sorry for not posting about CS1 yet. I also wanted to try the 1.23 software that they are about to or have posted. So far it's encouraging. I've been using the thing for a week for watching all TV programming. It has proved superior to my HTPC in this regard. That could be because my HTPC's capture card is crap and I've never sat down to get to the bottom of the video noise problems on it....or it could be that the CS-1 is actually pretty good.

I'll post the good and the bad issues soon. I'm away this weekend on business but if I get a chance I'll write it all up in my hotel room on Saturday night. If not it's going to have to wait till next Wednesday or Tuesday.

I've only managed to see about 10 Minutes of DHVS today. Too busy working on a 12" CRT......!

    Hi Gordon,
Yep, HTPC can be a bit of a bottomless pit as far as getting it right is concerned, there's always something that needs fiddling with!

12" CRT, blimey, didn't know they existed! (I take it this is commercial rather than Home Cinema kit?).

Looking forward to the CS-1 and the DVHS review!
    All the best,
    Paul

Should be viewing some D-VHS stuff shortly. Just found out a friend has purchased one to run through his 1209. Should be interesting. Titles are appearing slowly, which is good. Could develop into a niche market for those with higher end systems.

I'm wondering what Gordon will have as his demo disc. MIB? T2?, U571? If I know him as well as I think I do, they will all lose out to the bikini pageant :D
