I've purchased the Crusade Box Set recently, but on viewing notice that its full-screen, rather than widescreen.

It was my belief that the series had been shot in widescreen (like Babylon 5 had).

    Anyone know what's going on?

It would have cost warner around $200,000 do a remaster in widescreen for dvd, they were not willing to pay so we get stuck with 4:3.

B5 is only in widescreen because TNT wanted to syndicate it in widescreen and so paid for the widescreen remaster which Warner then used for the dvds.

Booooo! So we get stuck with an inferior transfer!

Ho well, at least it got released, which given that it only lasted 13 episodes, is a minor miracle.

Yes, bit miffed at this. Especially as the box states 1.85:1 ratio.
