No, not that crumpet. I have a 8 pack of crumpets that need eating today. For breakfast I had 2 with lashings of butter and marmite. But could do with some different ideas, for 11's, lunch, and tea.

Any guidance?

For the record - I really like crumpets:thumbsup:

Honey. Nom nom nom nom.

Toast, then put some tomato puree on, then grate cheese on top - then grill.

Pizza crumpets!

Cheese... Amazing on crumpets

Peanut Butter... Amazing Also

:smashin:

toast then add a slice of ham topped with blue cheese and a sprinkling of black pepper grill till the cheese is nicely melted.

damn thats made me hungry, off to the shop now for crumpets

I would except there's no grill at work - so it would be futile.

Am working at home today....no restrictions. Other than all the work I'm doing obviously.

Like the honey, will give that a whirl in a moment.

Blue cheese? I'll have to nip to the shops!

plain and simple - generous spread of olivio margarine!

im very fussy about my crumpets and they kinds vary from bakers and supermarkets - some are more like pancakes!

the asda my mum works at make them just like an old bakery i remember - super soft and thin with little holes perfect for soaking up that margarine! MMmmmmmmmmm

Egg and crispy bacon on crumpets is heavenly

Pikelets = Scotch Pancakes <> Crumpets

attached images to differentiate

Don't know what they are but they're not pikelets :)

From Wiki:

Pikelet may refer to:

Pikelet, an alternative name for a crumpet

Anything. Doesn't have to be sweet.

Hamburgers, eggs, sausages. Particularly good with bacon. Treat like American waffles: bacon & maple syrup.

Anyway, what do you mean 'need eating today'? Is that a personal temptation thing? Because if it's simply the use-by date, a day or two won't make any difference.

Honey. Nom nom nom nom.

6.5/10

I like honey, but these seemed a little plain. Especially after Marmite and butter.

DPinBucks - yes it's a best before thing, which I know won't make much difference. But once I'd opened them, I decided it was the only way forward:smashin:

Cheese with worchester sauce
Butter and peanut butter

Prefer savoury toppings on crumpets, same for muffins. Although a good quality jam is nice.

You could also treat them as slices of toast (l like mine well done) and have beans and cheese on pikelets. Om Nom.

warm crumpets with butter and Pâté - mmmmmm :p
