Does the distance between the projector lenses and the screen depend on the make of the CRT projector? Say if you had a ceiling mounted Sony or Seleco, then you wanted to change it to say a Barco, would you be able to mount it in the same place and get the same size image.

It depends on the lenses being used in the units, rather than the manufacturer. So, you might have a Seleco 310 and want to upgrade to an 800. You'd probably have to move the projector bracket.....

However, if you had a Seleco800 and you changed to a Runco933 you'd probably be alright as they both have HD145 lens assembly's

    Hope this helps,

    Gordon

Thanks Gordon as usual you are a mine of information. By the way that was a nice job you did on the Schiehallion. I work offshore in the North sea and would not work on that place for all the tea in China. A bit too rough I prefer a fixed platform. Maybe I can persuade the powers on here to buy a similar system for us.
