I am currently deliberating on a CRT replacement for my 8 year old 29" Sony that went phfhhft, leaving me stuck with a paltry 20" Samsung.

It is looking likely for either the Tosh 32ZP48 which I have heard great things about on this forum or the new slimfit HDtv from Samsung which not many have seen in the flesh.

Any information received would be most welcome especially on the newer samsung, what is the collective opinion around here, would this be a good investement or do you lot think the HiDef on a CRT is just a marketing gimmick?

i heard that the slimfit hdtv crt's lose definition and have a very high dot pitch (space between pixels) towards the edges, i dont think you can go wrong with a 32zp48.
