Crown CDV-1100b Hack ?

My Girlfriend (bless 'er) got a free Crown CDV-1100B with her Mobile Phone.

Now the Crown CDV-1100 Hack on the site here and duplicated elsewhere does not work... I can only assume it's because its a "B" model.

Anyone have a hack for this model or do I have to buy her a "real" DVD Player
