Phoned the number and a chinese bloke answered, asked him how much he said £13, so I asked him if it was an original he said:

WOT YOU TALKING? WOT YOU TALKING?

I asked him again are they originals? He replied:

WOT YOU TALKING? WOT YOU TALKING?

    And put down the phone!

    Go figure????

I think you insulted the integrity of this honest hard working businessman by implying that he dealt with pirated software.

If you live near Croydon or Chinatown - best pop in and apologise.

I think it's fair to say if anyone offers one of the most wanted DVD's for £13 wouldn't you be suspicious?

Ono, I guess you are right though he must have been insulted, but was I really out of line asking him if it was an original at that price?

Can someone here confirm the price and if it's original copies were talking here?

    Cheers

Listen, I have to go down the West End tomorrow and I know a few shops in Chinatown that sell R1 film generally (though a litle overpriced). If I come across a place that has several does anyone want to know?

You would be lucky to find one for less than £25 in soho. Why not wait for the R1, released on 5th June?

You're right couldn't find one for less than £25 but bought it anyway in Chinatown. Only one shop had it, all the rest had sold out.

Could wait till June but as these are now rarer than rocking horse **** I thought I'd get one as all my friends will want to borrow it too. Look at it this way, to take the missus to see it at the local London multiplex is going to cost me 20 odd squid anyway when everything's chucked in and no annoying kids to get in the way.

Anyway, none of us would buy R1 films half the time if it was just a question of waiting 3 months+!!!!

There are lots available on the auction sites. Try www.yahoo.co.uk or www.ebay.co.uk

However, I don't know if they're originals or not. I managed to pick one up for £15 on Yahoo (hasn't arrived yet).

I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives.

I'm kinda dubious about buying anything on a internet auction, I know loads of people do it but it's not for me, Popester I would be interested to know where you managed to find your copy??

    Thanks in advance

Don't know the name of the shop but it was a newsagents in Gerrard Street opposite side from 36 Gerrard St, just around the corner from De Hems. There are only 2 shops that seem to sell DVDs so you can't miss it.

Tried 2 other place but they were sold out.

Thanks for the tipoff, but I can't get down there until the weekend, I'm working. Will Try and get a friend who works up town to pick one up for me, but I fear it may be out of his way! [IMG]

    Thanks again

    Cheers Popester,

May take a trip down there this weekend, what bugs me is about 10years ago I used to work on Shaftbury Avenue and drink quite often in De Hems and around that area, now I have to make a special trip down to that place to get some DVD's ARRRGGgghhH. [IMG]

    Thanks again,

    Yo Ace

By the way, now it's in really short supply watch out they don't bump the price up....

I guess I shouldn't say it but I'm sure one of the shops I tried DID have it in stock but for some reason wouldn't sell it to me....hmmm.

P.S. Finally watched it last night. Superb film, the acting, cinematography, and story are all first class. The DVD picture & sound quality is excellent too. Definitely one for the collection.

Received my copy yesterday (see earlier response). It's a non-region and I'm pretty sure it's a pirate version and has the dolby 5.1/AC3 logo on the bottom left of the cover.

However, the picture and sound are, surprisingly, superb. It's anamorphic and has full 5.1 sound (supposedly ES - I can't confirm).

    MATTS,

Thanks for the update, I am still looking into getting this along with Star Wars Episode 1 (amongst others [IMG]).

I'll let you know what the outcome is of that.

    Cheers
