    Hi,

The crosseover in my Paradigm cc350 recently blew and I found it very difficult to source a replacement. I finally found a supplier but while waiting for the postman from Canada I purchased (very cheaply) a pair of mission m71 crossovers to get my centre up and running.

I fitted the mission xover and all worked OK but im sure the speaker sounds different. My question is, does the tonal balance of a speaker come from the xover unit or from the speaker unit itself?

Its just a thought going round in my head.

It comes from the speaker as a system, which is comprised of the driver, crossover, cabinet etc.

The Mission crossover is designed for the M71 drivers and cabinet and therefore it will alter the sound in your original speakers. The M71 will allow your speakers to work but not to their optimum
