how will I know if I can play an NTSC on my set-up.

    I currently use a PS2 into a Yammy amp using S-Video leads.

I'm not sure about the PS2 but you also need to check your TV manual to see if that accepts NTSC - most newer TVs do but its worth checking first.

A region 2 PS2 will output NTSC as 'pure' NTSC (colour freq. 3.58). It is quite 'happy' doing so via s-video connections.

As has been said there are no probs with your amp or PS2, it is the tv that could be the problem - check the manual.

You will need Region X to play region one DVDs on your PS2 and you will need a new Scart lead (I have the Blaze Ultimate Scart) to watch region one in rgb.
