I've just taken delivery of the Criterion edition of Spartacus.

However, on the extras disc I have a problem which occurs whether I play it in my DVD player or in either of my computers and I would like to find out if every disc has the fault or if I've got a duff one.

One of the deleted scenes is "Suicide of Gracchus". When I play this it is OK until he goes behind the curtain and closes it. At this point the picture freezes while the soundtrack continues (he is clearly having a conversation with a woman).

Please, if you have this disc, can you let me know whether you have the same problem?

    No problem with your disk.
I believe that Criterion only managed to find this deleted scene with full audio only but with limited video for the scene.

Thanks. I missed the vital word "audio" in the intro.
