I bought this last week, although Cricket is a farly boring game to most people and gamers, great satisfaction can be had from despatching the ball all over the park.

The thing I'm finding hard is controlling the ball pitching box,
I feel like I'm wrestling with with it to get it where I want to put it.
I've not read any reviews on it, perhaps the chap who was the EA game tester might know if this was deliberate, making us bowl like Scott Boswell. 12 Ball overs anybody?

Also in my collection of Cricket games are
1.Graham Gooch On Atari ST.
2.Brian Lara on PS1
3.Cricket 2000 on PS1
4.Cricket 2002 on PS2.

Sussex County Champs again this Year.
Sorry Have I bowled you over with my love four Cricket Games.

Picked up Cricket 2004 a few months ago from CDWow - its the Aussie PAL release, identical except the packaging.

Yeah I think its great. Not an easy game to recreate on a console but it strikes a good balance between action and simulation. I dont have too much grief with the bowling system but my batting timing is terrible.

Didnt get Cricket 2002 because my mate said it was buggy as hell and crashed regularly.

I used to play Graham Gooch on Amstrad CPC. Oh yes.

Not a realistic game AT ALL (you can't bribe the players to throw the match :))

Quite. Or pick the seam behind the umpire's back.

Some sledging from the keepers would have been a nice touch.

Just put my PS2 online. If only............

I set the options to Easy and scored 162 in my first innings, of a Test match v Windies, and the Bowling control is easier to control.

I really think it's improved all round, time in between balls and numerous instant replays.
A bit of Geoff Boycott's humour would be a good addition.
