    Hi all,

Does anyone know if its possible to set the output volume on the zen to a set level for all tracks played.
Im using my player for a party and want to try to stop high level recordings and low level recordings creating the problem of either sounding too quiet and then going too loud.

    Thanks.

I have a NW-HD1, this is probably useless to u but I use mine at parties and u really shudnt be using just a plain headphone out attached to an amp it should let you set either manually on the outside of the player or digitally via a menu it to line out mode. Then mine lets me set an average listening volume so everything is pretty much normalized, but u could normalize the songs on the computer.

Use mp3gain on your music collection to get it all to the same volume.
    http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/
I'm not sure if the zen has provision to do this automatically, i doubt it
