I know it is possible to copy photos onto either CD or DVD disks and there are software packages such as Easy CD/DVD Creator.

But if you transfer your photos onto DVD with a suitable software package, can you then play back that DVD on a DVD player, or are they viewable only on your PC?

    What software would you recommend?
I realise I will need to purchase a DVD Writter for my computer.

    Many thanks

I use a package called ProShow Gold.

It's the one I settled on after testing many different packages and it was cheap too! $US29 for the standard version I think.

You have many transition effects and you can add music too.

As long as the DVD Player supports CDR or CDRW and VCD this package will work a treat.

Do a search for ProShow on Google. I'm at work at the mo and can't find the URL.

There are many products that do it. Ones that I have used are:
adobe Photoshop Album £25 from PCworld (15 off MRP) Loads of ways to view pics (particularly like the 3D tour round an artgallery of your pics that you can publish to web). Does it all from capture to burning

This is a great piece of software for organising pics as well 10/10

Nero burining ROM, incredibly easy drag and drop on to a CD, does menus as well.

Ulead DVD Picture show. Does VCD from capture to burn. Very good for doing multiple slideshows £30 MRP

Think Adobe is best as an all rounder picture utility (fantastic interface for tagging and sortiung images). Ulead best as a VCD only tool.

Both adobe and ulead offer trial versions of these packages
