Has anyone found any decent software to create DVDs from mpg or avi files ? I've tried a couple so far (Sonic MyDVD and NeroVision Express) and failed with both.
What I need is something easy to use as I don't want to be messing about for hours.

Was browsing DVDr-help earlier, came across a few apps for just that.

    Have a peek here:

I have tried a number of apps, and for ease of use I like Ulead DVD Workshop. I have version 1.3, but I believe they are now on v. 2.0.
You can use AVI,MPEG1 MPEG2 and other sources, create DVD, VCD and SVCD, all with menus, and burn direct from the program.
If you use Nebula files they have to be corrected with PVAstrumento first, then can be compiled to a DVD without re-encoding

    Sorry for any confusion.
A lot of users here have the Nebula DigiTV card, which produces MPEG2 files direct from the RF input on Freeview channels. These have to be corrected before they can be used in DVD authoring programs. (UK only)

i have also used Neo dvd standard4, it takes approx 2hours to convert from mpeg to dvd, but found that the quality is good, my playbacks are often jumpy. but have not found anything that beats it..
