Hi

A room that i'm planning to set up a projector and screen in has been decorated with light colours. Is this going to reduce the quality of the image much?

Kind regards

Wil

It will mostly effect scenes that have both bright and dark scenes within the same frame - the light from the bright parts reflects off of the screen, hits the walls and reflects back onto the screen washing out the darker areas by contaminating them with light.

You may not notice the effect if you can't compare it with the same set-up in a room with dark walls, so don't let it stop you from enjoying the big picture.

I an ideal world we'd all have blck felt lined rooms but if your set-up is going into a lounge that's not always a viable option. :)

i can recommend the Infocus 7205 in a room with light coloured paper and ceiling, (apple white in my case).......very nice colors, nice tone, good brightness, and considering the decor, very nice blacks, even in bi-tone scenes :)
