    Howdy,

I never had a problem with my 360, until I installed the R6 Vegas update. It now crashes quite often (screen freezes and goes garbled) in any game. Like I said, I had zero problems up until now (9+ months of flawless running).

It's actually colder in my room too, so it's not the PSU overheating. I've also tried both horizontal/vertical standing, no difference.

Anyone else get this problem with that update?

Think the fact R6: Vegas was the first tme it crashed is irrelevant - more likely the 360 has died :/

I have problems when playing R6V. Some days i struggle to get online and play multiplayer and when i do i dont have a gun and cant open doors etc. Sometimes i get disconnected from xbox live when i am not even playing online and just playing on story mode.

I have done network tests and it blames things such as my wireless adaptor not being connected, no IP address, no network. Infact pretty much says i have problems with all the tests on the test screen. At first i thought it was a problem with my network or ISP but the problems only occur when i am playing R6V. All other games work perfectly. I have found people having similar problems on the official xbox forum. I have been playing it for around a month now and had no problems at all until a few days ago when i tried to play live. Since then i have been disconnected eveytime i have played.

Its a little annoying as the online multiplayer is the main reason i have the game.

Mine was a launch console, absolutely fine up until a few weeks back when I updated R6, a few minutes in & the screen went green pixel mad, from then on it was only downhill until the red lights appeared & it was completely game over. all happened very quickly, still I'm hoping I'll have my replacement/fix dropped off tomorrow. I must admit I might be a bit wary of going back on R6 as it was this game that tipped the balance. probably coincidence though, I hope so.

Quite a few people have reported problems with R6 Vegas especially when in multiplayer mode. Personally i dont have Gold sub yet & have finished the game in story mode with no issues, my mate who plays online keeps getting disconnected & the game crashing on a frequent basis.

I don't think the issues that have arisen are directly related to the R6V update, i've had and my consoles still running (touchwood).

Ive experienced game crashes two or three times in online multiplayer matches, from the ones i've remembered it was when i was shot dead that it froze and become unresponsive.

Other than that, thoroughly enjoying the tactical finess needed in this game!

I have noticed crashes playing splitscreen but only seem to happen on the calypso casino map.
The update listed a lot of fixes for crashes/bugs in the game and I expect the game still contains more because from what I have read on the web a lot of people experience lockups with this game even after the update.

Theres a way you can clear the 360's cache but it means you'll lose all other game updates too, then you could try to re-update? unfortunately I'm not sure how to do it but it's pretty simple from what I remember and I'm sure someone will be able to tell you how;)

Unfortunately though, I think its the console too but it may be worth a try before contacting M$

Hmm seems to be quite random. I'll probably just ask for a new 360, then buy the extended warranty (seems like thats quite essential)!

    FYI: Cleaning cache
