I have (on partial recommendation from this forum) my new 360 premium running into my PC's widescreen LCD with a VGA cable, and the sound running into my Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum via optical, then into my Creative 2.1 speakers.
For living at uni, the setup is fantastic - incredibly neat and efficient, with stunning picture and crystal clear sound.. Most of the time..
When there are thicker sounds, by which I tend to mean the bass from explosions, gunfire and loud voices, I get a crackling sound from the speakers.
I tried turning the volume down on the SP/DIF input on the pc, but it didn't decrease or fix the problem - this doesn't happen iwith any music from my pc, just XBOX sound sources.
How can I resolve this?
