    Hi all

I have finally got my SB Live 5.1 card sorted out for digital out. It's now feeding a 3.5mm to RCA cable which goes into the coaxial input on a Panasonic SA-HE7 5.1 receiver. This is then hooked up to 5 small - medium speakers (2 small rears, 3 medium front / centre, but they at the bottom end of medium).

My problem is that I seem to be getting a lot of crackling and poping noises. I thought that it may have been my rubbish cable, so I replaced it with a purpose built job, but still no joy.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
I know there was a problem with this on early releases of Windows XP. There was a fix released by either creative or microsoft (can't remember who) to cure this.
What O/S are you using ?
If it's one of the newer ones it may be worth visiting the microsoft auto update site
