i got that board and i want to upgrade for 1.8ghz dual to the highest spec they do 2.66 but i dont understand what it means by the !

Don't look at the clock speed, go on the model number (E6700). There are multiple different processors with the same clock speed that differ in other respects and only some will be compatible.

As to the !, it's supposed to mean that different revisions of a processor have different compatibility requirements, i.e. one may require a newer bios. Just click the + sign and make sure the revision ('spec#') that you're looking to buy is compatible.

I say supposed, because the all entries seem to be identical so I wouldn't worry about it.
