CPU fan speed

I changed my cpu fan when i got a new case a couple of weeks ago. The pc wouldnt boot with the fan set to slow, i kept getting cpu fan error. Id like to slow it down a little as its always on full speed.
Is there any manual fan controllers that will control a four pin cpu fan?
Ive been looking but can only find three pin controllers.

Lookin your PC BIOS setting and if necessary switch off CPU fan sensor.
