    Hi

I've had a Panasonic E30 for a while now and am very happy with it, but I no longer have the time to 'babysit' recordings while cutting out ad breaks.
So, I've decided to get one of the new E85's.

    My querys are -
    1. Can I record in NTSC like the E30 could and does it have a switchable PAL/NTSC? (I have an NTSC video for converting old tapes)
    2. Can I copy some footage from HD to DVD-R and then add to it again at a later date before finalising the DVD-R? (As I do now on E-30)

    That's about it!

    Thanks for any help :)

YES - for recording from external sources (not the tuner). So your NTSC video should be fine as long as you have a VCR which outputs true NTSC and not PAL60. The E-85's tuner will only record in the TV standard of its intended market.

    YES.

    That's great, thanks.

Looks like I'll be ordering one tomorrow then :)
