How do they compare?
not sure about how good RS3 is - it's suposed to be good - but CS is basically just the free game with a 1 player bot game bolted on. It's a good free mod but these days it's showing it's age
and isn't really the best 1 ply game. The PC multiplayer mod is still great fun but I wouldn't buy a 1 ply version of CS myself.
i've got rainbow six 3 on the XBox and have played it Live! Great game and brilliant fun.
I was wondering whether to get CS too (for use on Live!)... ? If it's insuperior to RS3 I probably wouldnt play it much...
can't say i've played it on X-Box but it's good fun on the PC. It's a bit old though and I wouldn't pay for it when it's free on the PC.
Well. Rainbow six 3 is, in my opinion, far the better game as a package. CS on Live left me confused for a bit. I bought it after filling my boots with RS3. And whilst it's different, it's good fun in its own way. As both are now pretty cheap why not get both and make up your own mind?
Yes, I'd heard that CS was only worth purchasing if you've got LIVE! - which is why I've already and only brought RS3, as I'm only playing on LIVE! round a friends house.
CS and RS3 look like similiar games to me... - in what way are they different beng (or anyone) ?
r63 is by far the better game, online and offline.cs is crap,i sold my copy recently.
get r63 and get on xbl,you wont regret it
RS3 on LIVE! is brilliant. SOOOO addicitve!
Why exactly is CS crap on LIVE!?
CS requires a decent amount of players per side, at least 6. It also requires good accurate controls, which the X-box does not provide. Also, it is a lot of fun with the custom maps, which you cannot get on live.
CS is amazing on the PC, CS is not so good on the X-Box.
Interesting point. Something which hasn't been so apparent to me, seeing that I only own an XBox.
Personally I've found the controls to be more precise whilst playing Halo, than whilst playing RS3. With RS3 you can move the joystick to a reasonable degree and the target recticle remains static.. - then suddenly, it'll move too quickly. Halo seems more predictable
No offense to console FPS players, but Halo does have a good auto-aim function. Making it easier to kill and seem fairly precise. I have just played with mouse and keyboard for too long I suppose and simply have real problems dealing with console FPS where it is very difficult to quickly cover all angles.
why anyone who has a reasonable PC would consider a console based FPS is completely beyond me! The PC is the only machine to play these games on...sorry but the console is for sports, fighting, shoot em ups, adventure & driving games IMO - leave FPS, strategy (proper strategy not the tactics ones) and sim games to the PC.
