I struggled big time, no air about despite having all the windows open.

Eventually, I decided to take extreme measures at about 2.30am but still don't feel as though I got any sleep at all :(

    Was it just me?

Eventually dropped off about midnight. Then woke up about 2.30am with the sensation that my feet were on fire, looked down and saw my cat (who some of you know basically resembles a mobile rug) sleeping on my feet, looking back up at me going "what?"

I'm interested in the "extreme measures" did you go postal or something?

It was definitely pretty warm last night - no trouble sleeping though. :)

I used an age old herbal remedy. Sometimes works a treat, other times you can be lying there comparing the two old classics 'Roll With It - Oasis' and 'There's No Other Way - Blur' and trying to decide which is the definitive pop song of that era.

Oasis were close because of the fantastic lyrics that are:

I know the roads down which your life will drive
I find the key that lets you slip inside
Kiss the girl, she's not behind the door
But you know I think I recognize your face
But I've never seen you before

but, Blur won it eventually for the musical arrangement

    :lease:

I find that a really hot shower works better than a cold one - the running water keeps you cool whilst in the shower but then the outside world seems much cooler once you're out of it.

Out of the Blur/Oasis competition of the mid-90s I think that Pulp won with Different Class. :)

I played table tennis for 2 hours yesterday evening in a room that was doing a good impression of a sauna. Must have lost about 4 pints of sweat - duly replaced in pub by about 6 pints of beer. Slept like a log.

I use an age-old organic remedy - a couple of glasses of wine in the evening. Works a treat :)

I've been struggling for the last few weeks due to the heat and hay fever. When my hay fever gets bad it gives me asthma symptoms during the night and the pollen count has been at record levels the last few weeks. I therefore have the windows in the bedroom closed to try and keep the pollen out. The bedroom is South facing so gets the sun all day and it's been unbearably hot. I've bought an upright cooling fan to try and get some air in the room and it's quite good. It has an option of a sleep timer so I can set it to switch off automatically after a couple of hours.

Same here Fella. Been moaning to the olds that my flat was too Hot. Got back from Spain last week and sitting there was an Air Con unit.

B&Q are doing some really good deals on them at the moment so my Dad couldnt resist. He even set it up for me, bless him.

Used it last night and no problems catching some :boring:

I woke at about 3 am for the loo having guzzled lots of water to avoid dehydration. I decided that it was Friday night and therefore turned off the alarm. Needless to say I overslept and was late to work because a 'refuse collection lorry had broken down' blocking the road. So, I slept well :)

When I'm shot I use ice to heal myself.

I fall asleep easily however I am troubled by dreams of the events surrounding my violent death in vietnam at the hands of Dolph Lundgren.

I feel I should start disobeying orders , especially if I am asked to terminate a blonde female reporter .

I have a tower fan on the windowsill, windows open, on full blast, oscillating away blowing relatively cold air into the room overnight. It gets cool around midnight, but the blasted traffic on the main road is about 3 metres from my window

It's hardly a busy road during rush hour, let alone at midnight. I'll be sure to drive quietly in future though. :)

I slept in the nuddy until about 3am when I got a bit chilly. I used an empty duvet cover to keep warm.

May have to put a thin duvet on tonight though, as I woke up cold at 6am today.
