Could it be the 1906 that is causing this?

Hi I have had numerous problems with my set up in recent months.

    I have a Philips 9986 LCD TV

It is connected using SCART to my Thompson freeview box through my Denon 1906.

When I had the Scart direct from freeview to TV the TV would always come back on to EXT1 (Scart 1 input channel) is that was the channel it was turned off on. Since I set it up through the 1906 for switching purposes the LCD Screen always defaults to bbc1 ( it has no inbuilt tuner) so this is just a blue screen and means I have to change the TV channel everytime i turn on the TV. Could it be the 1906 and the way I've got it connected up as I've tried every option on the TV with no joy?

You have to have scart to scart to guarantee full functionality, i.e. widescreen switching and auto detection when you switch something on. If you go via the amp you can lose these.

Bummer, loks like that means I lose my on screen display from the Denon if I go back to direct SCART to Scart then. Grrrrr
