I was looking at using this mic for a film I'm shooting on mini dv this summer. My budget for a mic doesn't reallt stretch past the £40 mark and I don't really want to use the on cam mic due to the risk of camera operation-noise pickup etc. Would this mic be suitable for using on a boom or pole of some sort for getting closer to the actors and getting a clearer sound?
    Thanks for any info.

The mic would be suitable for use on a boom, but a proper boom mount is gonna set you back at least £150 on top of that :/ So I reckon it's just gonna be jerry rigged onto a broom handle :) best place I've found for buying stuff like that is pro audio systems in bradford, much cheapness and delivery for all sorts of stuff, vast range of kit available
