Can anyone confirm if this is indeed correct that you actually get 4 years? and if so, how it works (1st year manufacture gaurentee then Costco's 3 yrs 1yr after date of purchase I'm guessing)

Have never heard mention of that and only ever been told 3 yrs on things I bought from there before my previous TV included.

I thought the same as you mate but this is what the lady at the counter told me , you could always phone and find out as afterall it is just one member of staff that has said this although she spoke like she was well informed.

-TYN- I've just bought the 50" Sammy from Newcastle Costco and they confirmed I'll just get a 3yr manufacturers warranty when I mentioned this.

Still pleased with that of course :smashin:

As an aside, although we're semi-frequent Costco Watford shoppers - we have a normal car.

How does one get a TV home from there !

Not sure if anyone has a delivery tip ... that 50" Sammy is a great price !

Yesterday, the SP-50L7HX was £2232 ... including VAT.

As you know, Costco's give non-VAT price as the main price, but with the VAT price in smaller print.

You will definately need a van. Theres no way a car will take the samsung set. Make sure the van is a high top with tall doors. :) Should cost around £50 for the day to hire.

    As a followup, Costco's don't deliver ... but they suggested Freightmate - 01582 431904.

Around £26 from Watford to an AL1 address ... which is fine ..
