I have changed the battery on my Panasonic HDCHS700 camcorder.Having switched the camcorder on it now flashes Check Card and will not access the HD video or still pictures, neither will it record.Panasonic have suggested that in powering up the camcorder there may have been a split second loss of power when the unit was reading the card which means that the card is probably corrupted.I have tried the card on a computer but the results are the same.
My local dealer has suggested that I try reformatting the card and then use recovery software, but if I try this after a couple of minutes I get the message Cannot format this card.
Does anyone know of a good recovery programme or company that would be able to recover the video and stills from this card.?From the above info is recovery likely?
Many thanks
