Can anyone tell me what the correct audio settings should be selected on the above player (Panasonic dvd-xv10) when connected to my Panasonic TX28pb50?
(For those who don't know the TX28pb50, it decodes Dolby Digital & DTS)
The choices are: PCM down conversion No or Yes
    Dolby Digital Bitstream or PCM
    DTS Off or Bitstream
    MPEG PCM or BItstream

When watching dvd's i am currently getting DD 3/2.1 which is a digital signal but is it DTS or DD?
How do i select DTS? Can i actually select DTS or does the disc play it's preferred soundtrack?

Any thoughts on this would be most welcome.

    Regards
    Wyatt

    Hi Wyatt,

Whether you get DTS sound from your DVD disc will usually be dependent on actually selecting it in the audio set-up menu on the film you are watching - they usually default to the Dolby Digital track. Of couse, you should also set your DTS selection on the TV to bitstream. Hope this helps.
