As a newly appointed manager it is quite odd to begin a job, which includes managing a team, that is in fact remote. It can be hard to keep my employees engaged and motivated, but there are a few things I have done to do this, such as increase the number of virtual meet-ups, and have regular check-ins with my staff. I've read a couple of articles such as this one, which I have been following and have helped me in working in this new remote world we find ourselves.
