    Hi all.

I have some text messages on my old phone - an XDA Orbit that I want to save. I know it sounds daft but there are some text messages on the phone that my Dad sent me, he recently passed away so these are the last texts I ever received from him and I would love to keep them.

I can't seem to download the sms messages to my pc/mac though - any ideas?

    Many thanks,

    Kieron

sorry to hear about your dad mate... keeping those texts will be a great memento..
I am interested in doing the same kind of thing, I have texts sent to me after my son was born from friends and family, and I plan on upgrading soon so would be interested in hearing what gets suggested..

See if you can save them to your sim as I know my partner has some saved to her o2 sim. If you have a setting for sim memory rather than phone then you might have some luck.

Sorry to hear about your dad, I understand how treasured those texts are and wish you all the best.

EDIT. Just a thought, but could you forward them to someone who could then send them back to you as an email. I would be happy to do so.
