I'm about to upgrade the HD in my Sky+ (Maxtor 4R160L0). Is there any way to copy the contents onto the new drive (I dont have a DVDrecorder)?

Alternatively if I take the 40gb drive out and put it back in later will the programmes on the original disk still be preserved? :lease:

    Hi MNS.

You cannot copy the contents of the old drive to your new one - you can just spool it off the Sky+ box onto tape or dvd. But if you put the original disk back in, any recorded programmes that were on it when you upgraded will still be available.

Good choice of drive to upgrade to by the way!

    Hope this helps

    Chers, Mark
